Puerto Rican Cultural Parade & Folklore Festival in Tampa

The traditional Puerto Rican Cultural Parade & Folklore Festival in Tampa has to be POSTPONED until Saturday, April 24, 2010. For the first time in 20 years, the event will not take place due to the economy situation.

The parade organizers are disappointed to take this action but we can not risk suffering a financial disaster. We want our sponsors, exhibitors and vendors in general to succeed and be happy with their participation. We are especially sorry to disappoint our community who looks forward to this annual event.

We want to clarify that the event is NOT ending, just POSTPONED until 2010. This has ALWAYS been a successful event NOT because of FREE Admission but because of the quality & culturally oriented presentations that makes it such a unique event.

In order to continue our annual celebration, this year’s parade instead will be replaced by

FIESTA BORICUA (BORICUA-LATIN FEST) on SUNDAYy, April 26, 2009. Admission is FREE. This event will be on a smaller scale in an effort to raise funds in anticipation to the 2010 Puerto Rico Cultural Parade and Festival. We need our community support and attendance to the event as well as the support of companies with their sponsorship.

PICNIC LOCATION: CENTENNIAL PARK SUNDAY, April 26 from 11am-7pm

ADDRESS: 8^th Avenue & 19^th Street, YBOR CITY (Tampa), FL

ADMISSION: FREE. DONATIONS will be accepted. NO COOLERS, PLEASE.

We will have LIVE Entertainment!! The Puerto Rico Cultural Parade will have food for sale & BEER GARDEN to start the fund-raising. 813-477-8368, 813-477-4896 (no calls after 9:30PM, please)

Only a few spaces will be available for rental for Vendors & Exhibits. CALL NOW!!

The date for the Patron Saint Festival in Pinellas Park has been changed to SATURDAY, OCTOBER 17, 2009. Admission to this family-oriented event is FREE. Location: TOWN SQUARE PLAZA PARK, England Brothers Band Shell, 5010 81^st Avenue N, Pinellas Park, FL.

We greatly appreciate the sponsorship from companies, participation of Exhibitors and vendors, as well as the support from the community to attend these events. No coolers are allowed in the parks.
