| United States Mint Launches the 'Isla del Encanto' Commemorative Quarter on April 2 |

 WASHINGTON, March 27 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The public and media are invited to join United States Mint Director Ed Moy at the launch of the commemorative quarter honoring the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico -- the Isla del Encanto -- at San Juan's La Arcada in Paseo La Princesa, at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 2. Puerto Rico Governor Luis Fortuno and invited guests will join in the ceremony that includes local entertainment and a coin exchange. Children 18 years old and younger will receive a free quarter. The United States Mint will release the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico commemorative quarter into circulation on March 30. It is the second coin in the 2009 District of Columbia & U.S. Territories Quarters Program. The coin's reverse (tails side) design features a sentry box in Old San Juan overlooking the sea with a hibiscus, Puerto Rico's official flower. The design, by United States Mint Sculptor-Engraver Joseph Menna, includes the inscription Isla del Encanto (Island of Enchantment).
